Home Ownership Success Stories

Janet Elliot

For Janet Elliot, her first home was a four-bedroom house in Lexington for her family of four boys. "I learned a lot from the classes at CVC," she said. "The information and training were really good, and I got many useful tips on how to keep my home." She added one of CVC's partner realtors was very helpful in assisting her to find the home she wanted.

Eddie and Lena Conley

After trying for 17 years to buya house and always getting turned down because of low income,Eddie and Lena Conley built a brand new home in Lancaster. "I never dreamed we could build a new home," Eddie said. "We got to pick everything in it. We finally found the people who helped us when no one else would."

Sherry Dennis

For seven years, flawed credit thwarted Sherry Dennis' efforts to buy a
house. Now she owns a new home in Lawrenceburg. Working with CVC's
staff, she says, "was like having a financial advisor to address credit
issues." She completed homeownership class, which "helped me understand
the whole process. The staff were always ready to answer questions.
They helped with contacts, financing, and every aspect -right to the
finish."
